Verbs
Generally, a verb is a "doing" word. Verbs describe actions, and states of being. In the following sentences, the verb is bolded:
- I went to the store to buy a laptop.
- My five year old computer is broken.
- Cats love playing with balls of wool.
- Fred feels sick.
The basic form of a verb is called the infinitive. For example, to eat, to walk, to dress, are all infinitives.
